MEET OUR ALUMNI

At CASE, we are proud of every individual who has gone through the EDIT program to achieve their business goals. From the beginning, our mission is to increase minority participation in technology-based startups, and we see immediate gains through the development of companies by our founders. Natural Hair Headquarters

Natural Hair Headquarters aims to help clients reach hair goals by educating people about hair. At CASE, Tatiana learned the technical skills needed to create a business that allows her to follow her passion and help others. Tatiana and our team created a website with clients' needs in mind. It lets visitors search for videos to educate them about their hair concerns, purchase products exclusively available at the store, and reach out to Tatiana for consultations.

4 Paumes

Founder Christopher Hopkins is still working on bringing his technological innovation he envisioned in 2018 to market. However, in the meantime, utilized his knowledge he learned through EDIT to launch 4 Paumes, a restaurant and a grocery store. He is featured in the Gainesville Sun newspaper as a “Black-owned restaurant on the rise” and was featured in The Independent Florida Alligator as part of a series called "Voices of Gainesville".

Terri is relaunching Queens Room with a fresh, new design that makes it easier for her to maintain her online business's creative and technical control. Her clients will be able to book and pay with a few keystrokes. She will also be hosting the Flip Your Script and Rewrite Your Narrative workshop on Facebook Live to gain more traction. She is also expanding her horizons teaching creative writing and art to middle and high schoolers in the coming months.

PrisonTations

After completing the Miami 2018 training, Tye Stephens launched PrisonTations, a quality bonding card company dedicated to connecting inmates with loved ones with heartfelt messages of hope and love. EDIT helped Tye create a website with an online store that allows customers to click on artwork for a card, personalize it, specify the delivery details, and pay for the order with a credit card. Tye is working hard to build her social media presence as well.
